RED CAKE                                                                        Pandora


Red Cake Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
2 oz. red food coloring
2 Tbsp cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vinegar

Preheat oven to 350° F
Grease and flour two 9-inch pans. (22.5cm)
Sift together five times flour, cocoa and salt, set aside. Cream sugar and butter till light, add red coloring and eggs and beat well. Add sifted flour mixture with 1 cup buttermilk to creamed mixture. Add baking soda and vinegar. Mix well. Bake in two greased 9" pans at 350° F (175° C) for 25-30 minutes.

Red Cake Frosting ingredients
1 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1 c. crisco
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Cook together the milk and flour until thick.
Set aside to cool.
Beat together the crisco, sugar, vanilla and salt util very light and fluffy.
Add the cooled flour and milk mixture and beat again until fluffy.
This frosting never gets firm.



Kay's Low Fat Dessert -- Frozen Lemon Pie                         K@y
 
2 Lemon yogurts ( any flavor will do.. just 2 of same kind )
1 medium cool whip ( fat free or reg both are not many calories)
1 graham cracker pie shell
 
 
Mix the yogurts and the cool whip together in a bowl.
Put into the graham cracker pie shell
Garnish with lemon slices ( if you wish)
Put in freezer until its frozen  
To serve take out of freezer for 10 or so minutes before slicing
